Basil Denver Basket

The Classics

The Basil Davos, Denver and Dundee are the best classic European-style baskets we've found.  The solid weave is stiff and strong enough to do without a heavy metal frame, while the handles are thick enough to be comfortable even when carrying two or three bottles of wine.  Malleable steel hooks grip the handlebar or rack frame, and can be easily bent to adjust the angle of the basket on any bicycle.  Other more complicated systems may be able to carry a little more, but nothing else has the ease and simplicity of these three.

The Davos (20"x13"x9") is slightly shallower and has a rectangular shape, while the Dundee (18"x14"x10") is deeper and oval. The Denver (15"x12"x9") has the same oval shape as the Dundee, but with a lid! The lid fastens with a leather strap and cute metal toggle latch.
